Notice for Act 34 Public Hearing Please take notice that the Montour Board of School Directors will convene a public hearing in the Montour High School Auditorium, 223 Clever Road, McKees Rocks, PA 15136 on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 6:30p.m., for the purpose of reviewing and discussing the proposed New Construction of the Montour District-Wide Elementary School. A description of this Act 34 Project, including facts with respect to educational, physical, administrative, budgetary, and fiscal matters related to the Project, will be presented, and will be available for consideration at such public hearing. The booklet will be available for review during normal business hours at the District's Administration Offices, 225 Clever Road, McKees Rocks, PA 15136 beginning on Monday, July 7, 2014. The Montour Board of School Directors by resolution has duly opted and has authorized the following in connection with the project: "Maximum Project Cost" of $51,364,633 "Maximum Building Construction Cost" of $39,782,142 This public hearing is being held pursuant to requirements of the Pennsylvania Public School Code of 1949, approved March 10, 1949, as amended and supplemented, including amendments made pursuant to Act 34 of the Session of 1973 of the General Assembly. All residents are Invited to attend. Anyone wishing agenda time, or wishing to submit written testimony or both, should contact the Secretary of the Board of School Directors in writing with their name and address not later than 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2014. Remarks will be received first from those individuals who pre-requested time on the agenda. Additional testimony will then be taken from the floor until all interested individuals have had an opportunity to speak. Public testimony wit/ be limited to three (3) minutes per individual. NOTICE TO BIDDERS BOROUGH OF GREEN TREE ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Sealed Proposals will be received by the Borough of Green Tree (located at 10 West Manilla Ave., Pgh. PA 15220 for the following: -Green Tree Borough Fire Hall Roof Replacement - Removal of 8,711 square feet of flat membrane roofing and ballast from the Green Tree Borough Fire Hall roof and replacement with 60 mil EDPM membrane non-ballasted roof systems. All Proposals must be received by the Borough of Green Tree, at the office of the Borough Manager located in the Municipal Center, 10 W. Manilla Ave., by 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, July 22, 2014 and the same will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter. There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid conference held at the Green Tree Municipal Center, 10 W. Manilla Ave. on July 14, 2014 at 10AM. All contractors presenting proposals for the Green Tree Borough Fire Hall Roof Replacement project must be present at the pre-bid conference for their proposal to be considered. All bidders must either be currently certified as a Pre-Qualified Bidder (Building Construction Contractor or Roofing Contractor) with the Borough of Green Tree or apply for pre-qualification and receive pre-qualification status as a general contractor five (5) days prior to the close of the bidding. Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside with the words "Bid for Green Tree Borough Fire Hall Roof Replacement". Copies of Drawings, Specifications, Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Forms of Proposals and Agreement are on file and open to public inspection at the Green Tree Borough Municipal Offices, 10 W. Manilla Ave., Pgh, PA 15220. Sets of said documents may be obtained upon payment of $25.00 per set from Green Tree Borough, 10 W. Manilla Ave., Pgh, PA 15220. No refund will be made for the return of any documents. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Borough of Green Tree, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Proposals must be made to the Borough of Green Tree, and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason, and also reserves the right to waive any informality therein. The Bidder is advised that the Owner will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder based on the Base Bid amount submitted.
