Shomo Field at McKee Stadium, Park Street, Jeannette PA. Work to include but is not limited to: installation of an ADA accessible aluminum ramp with railings both sides including posts, footings, and all required components and fittings. The new ramp will report to an existing aluminum landing that will be altered/expanded as part of the work. Notice of Intent to Remediate to an Environmental Standard (Pursuant to the Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Standards Act) Pursuant to the Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Standards Act (Act 2), the act of May 19, 1995, P.L. 4, No. 1995-2, notice is hereby given that ICON Development, LP, has submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) a Notice of Intent to Remediate (NIR) the former MSA and E.L. Wiegand site, located at 201 North Braddock Avenue and 7502 and 7510 Thomas Boulevard, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Chlorinated volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are present in site groundwater, and chlorinated VOCs, arsenic, and lead in soil due to on-site and/or off-site historical manufacturing operations. The remediator is ICON Development, LP. Remediation will be performed in accordance with the Special Industrial Area provision of Act 2 and a combination of Statewide Health Standards and Site Specific Standards. The proposed remediation measures may include pathway elimination and engineering and institutional controls. The Act 2 provides a 30-day public comment period. The 30-day comment period is initiated with the publication of this notice. Until 30-days after publication, the City of Pittsburgh may submit a request to ICON Development, LP to be involved in the development of the remediation and reuse plans for the site. The City of Pittsburgh may also submit a request to ICON Development, LP during this 30-day comment period to develop and implement a public involvement plan.
