Phase 2 consists of renovating approximately 40,000 sf of the 3rd floor, including but not limited to new finishes and furniture and reconfigurations to support new library programs and services; mechanical system upgrades; abatement of asbestos fireproofing; new efficient building lighting systems; distribution of power and wireless signal; reconfiguration of shelving units to facilitate compliance with accessibility requirements, and replacement of all perimeter single-pane windows. The Work also includes modifications to the 4th floor as necessary for distribution of power and data systems and for work related to the intercommunicating stair.
