STRUCTURAL ACCESS/ RIGGING SERVICES AND MAINTENANCE & PROTECTION OF TRAFFIC FOR THE INSPECTION OF THE HOMEVILLE ROAD VIADUCT LOCATED IN ALLEGHENY COUNTY ms consultants, inc. (ms) has been contracted by the Allegheny County Department of Public Works to perform an inspection of the Homeville Road Viaduct over Grant Avenue, Thompson Run, Lower Bull Run Road, and the Union Railroad tracks in the Borough of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, in Allegheny County. The inspection is scheduled for early to mid-July 2014. ms will require services of a Contractor to provide rigging and maintenance & protection of traffic (MPT) during inspection. ms will receive separate sealed bids from qualified Contractors for the rigging and MPT services until 1:00 PM, Monday, June 30, 2014, at ms' Coraopolis Office located at 333 Rouser Road, Airport Office Park 4, Second Floor, Coraopolis, Pa 15108. Complete bid packages may be obtained from Dan Wills of ms at the same address or by calling 412.264.8701 between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM. The Contractor must provide evidence of at least 10 years of experience in providing rigging services on bridge projects of similar size and complexity. The Contractor must make available the following equipment in good working order along with properly trained, competent, equipment operators. -60' under-bridge inspection crane with two rotating turrets, two-man minimum capacity bucket, power supply to the bucket, 60' minimum horizontal and 70' vertical reach, driver and operator. -60' manlift with operator, maximum rated vertical reach to be between 50' and 60'. -Traffic control consisting of warning signs, flags, cones, paddle boards, two-way radios and flaggers (consistent with the requirement of Publication 213). Bids will be opened Monday, June 30, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. ms will award the contract to the lowest responsive bidder. ms reserves the right to reject any or all bids deemed not in conformance with the bid requirements.
