ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FORT CHERRY SCHOOL DISTRICT, hereafter called the Owner, will receive sealed Bids for Stadium Lighting Replacement, 110 Fort Cherry Road, McDonald, PA 15057. Sealed Bids will be received for the following contracts: Electrical Construction Contract No. 218010118.850-E All bids must be on a lump sum basis; segregated bids will not be accepted. The basis for award will be the lowest responsible base bid and selected alternates. Beginning June 11, 20 14~ copies of the Bid Document Package, including the Contract Conditions and Specifications will be available for inspection purposes at the office of the Architect, Stantec Architecture and Engineering LLC, 101 East Diamond Street, 400 Morgan Center, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001; F.W. Dodge Corporation, 600 Waterfront Drive, Suite 200, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15222-4717; Pittsburgh Builders' Exchange, 1813 North Franklin Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 15233, and the School District Administration Office. Bid Documents are available for review/purchase on Stantec' s FTP Site by registering with Renee Cook at Stantec - renee.cook@stantec. com or (724) 431-1183. Registration is required for access to this FTP Site and to receive issued Addenda via email notification. The cost to obtain one printed set of specs is $80.00, payable to Stantec. Registered bidders may download and print bid documents at no cost. Purchased Bid Documents are non-refundable. Bidders are responsible to make sure that they have received addenda. Bids will be received by Mr. Paul Sroka, Business Manager, Fort Cherry School District, Administration Office, 110 Fort Cherry Road, McDonald, PA 15057 (Lower level of the Elementary School), until 2:00p.m., July 2, 2014, and opened publicly thereafter at the Administration Office. There will be a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond required in the amount of the Contract. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security subject to the conditions of paragraph 4.2 of the Instructions to Bidders (AIA Document A701) in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid in the form of a surety bond or a certified check drawn in favor of the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days from the bid receipt date. Refer to AIA Document A701, Instructions to Bidders, Article 5.2, for the Owner's right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities. Bidders, prior to or with their bids, shall submit to the Architect a properly executed AIA Document A305, Contractor's Qualification Statement. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 25, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Fort Cherry School District, Administration Office. The work areas will be made available to bidders after the initial meeting.
