ADVERTISEMENT Township of Hampton WPCP Capital Improvements Project CONTRACT NO. 2014-01 - General Mechanical Construction Public notice is hereby given that the Township of Hampton will receive sealed bids at the office of the Township, located at 3101 McCully Road Allison Park, Pennsylvania 15101 until 1:00 P.M., prevailing time, on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 for the WPCP Capital Improvements Project Contract No. 2014-01 - General/Mechanical Construction. Immediately after the closing time for receipt of bids, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid conference will be held at the Township of Hampton Water Pollution Control Plant facility, 2536 Toner Avenue in Hampton Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. to review the details of project requirements. A certified check, bank draft, or a Bid Bond executed on the prescribed form by the Bidder and a Surety Company, in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Bid, shall be submitted with each Bid to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into this Contract if given the award. No Bid Bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder failed to or cannot comply with any requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents or any applicable statutes of the United States, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and/or all local ordinances. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of the opening of the bids. The Contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color or national origin. Contractor shall be required to submit with their bid an E-Verify Program Verification in compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act 127 of 2012. Contractor must comply with the Prevailing Wage Rate set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Materials utilized must comply with the Steel Products Procurement Act.
