Allegheny County Council to hold a Public Hearing pursuant to bill no. 7964-14 regarding the Tax Increment Financing Act of July 11, 1990, P.L. 465 No. 113, to afford interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed Tax Increment Financing Plan for the Potato Garden Run project in Findlay Township, Allegheny County. The hearing will allow opportunity for comments by the general public to express their views on the concept of tax increment financing, on the proposed creation of a tax increment district and its proposed boundaries, on the proposed adoption of a project plan for the district and the benefits to the municipality. Individuals wishing to speak must register in advance at least 24 hours before the scheduled beginning of the hearing, and in accordance with all applicable rules governing public comment at Council meetings. The hearing will be held on February 25, 2014, beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the Gold Room of the Allegheny County Courthouse. Council Member Amanda Green Hawkins, Chair of the Economic Development and Housing Committee, shall be the presiding officer for such public hearing.
